For Love Retreats & Counseling
“This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: “I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life.” – Ezekiel 37:5
Approximately 82% of Ugandans identify as Christian, however, only 15% identify as born-again (Evangelical or Pentecostal) and many people need encouragement in their faith as they struggle with the challenges of life. Our For Love retreats and counseling support endeavors to breathe life into people so they can spread the love and hope of Christ into the world. Our desire is for every person to live fully and freely in the new life of salvation so that they can live out the purpose that God has placed on their life. Health Workers Retreats
Most people believe that health workers are successful and strong, leaving them isolated. Since 2021, our health workers retreats have been encouraging Christian health workers in the Lord and rejuvenating them to serve the community in a healthy spirit. We strive to create a safe space for freely sharing life struggles and to create a strong bond to grow together as family.
These retreats are known for building authentic family and community, providing spiritual encouragement, and creating time and space for rest and rejuvenation. Our activities always include group sharing (heart-to-heart) sessions, prayer, worship, Christian professional challenges and encouragement, team building games, fun and relaxing activities, and good food.
Christian Retreats
As Jesus often needed to get away to a solitary place to reconnect with His Father, we believe that it's also healthy for Christians to get away from their busy lives from time to time in order to refresh and recharge in the presence of God.
We offer retreats for a variety of groups with the aim to build up, restore, and reawaken lives and families in the Lord. These include times for fellowship and sharing, prayer and worship, teaching, and refreshment and games. Our hope is that all of these experiences help people rest, reset, and reconnect with God.
Our retreat center will provide a permanent space for these activities and will be available for groups, churches, and nonprofit organizations to utilize for their unique Christian retreat needs.
Revival House Christian Retreat Center
Revival House Christian Retreat Center will provide a space for holistic healing - physically, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. Our hope is that everyone who visits this place will encounter Jesus and will leave feeling refreshed and energized. So far, we have secured the land, created architectural plans, obtained permits, and are beginning construction as funding allows.
The Ministry Center will have room for small and large group fellowships and sessions; it will also be the home of our counseling and art therapy services. The Fitness Center will offer facilities for exercise, sauna and steam bath, and swimming. The Guest Houses will provide quality accommodations where all our retreat attendees and missionaries can rest and feel at home. There will also be gardens for relaxation and a field for games. We can't wait to host you here!
Counseling Support
Access to mental health care in Uganda is limited due to its relatively small number of practitioners. Even if people are able to access care, they often choose not to because of significant stigmatization of mental health issues. As a result, countless individuals suffer from the effects of common issues such as depression, stress, anxiety, trauma, and grief without help and support.
Through our counseling and art therapy services, we seek to provide affordable, empathetic, and nonjudgmental support for local Ugandans, as well as foreign missionaries and expats. Our goals are to reduce mental health stigma and empower people with the awareness, knowledge, and skills needed to overcome life's challenges. We currently do this through public education on mental health topics with the hope of expanding to include individual and group sessions and short-term therapy intensives.
